Press Brake Operator-2nd Shift Jobs in Ocala, FL at Boyd Welding
Scope:
A Sheetmetal press brake operator is responsible for accurately measuring and using CNC and Manual press brakes to form aluminum sheet to the required dimensions and shape. This is a hands-on technical position which requires the use of basic math with attention to details and extensive knowledge of sheet metal bending.
Daily Responsibilities:
- – Set up and operate a press brake machine to bend, form, and shape sheet metal
- – Perform in-process inspections of supplied flat pattern parts
- – Read and interpret CAD Models, 2d drawings or hand sketches
- – Accurately program and choose settings to achieve proper bends
- – Maintain and document changes as needed
- – Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
Job Requirements:
- – Must be at-least 18yr old
- – Must Read & Write the English language
- – Must be able to accurately read tape measure and precision tools commonly used in fabrication.
- – Must have familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes
- – Must have reliable transportation
- – Must maintain reliable attendance
- – Able to work weekends and overtime as required
- – Able to lift, bend, twist, stand and move 50lbs regularly.
Work Experience:
- -Previous production shop or metal fabrication experience required. Knowledge of AMADA control is preferred but not required.
Employment Type / Hours:
- -Full Time 40hrs
- -2nd Shift M-F 3:15PM to 11:45PM
- – Overtime as needed
