POSITION SUMMARY
Located in Johnson City, Tenn., the Precast Production Foreman is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations in a precast concrete facility. This position leads a team in the efficient and safe production of Wilbert burial vaults, septic tanks, light pole bases, and various small precast concrete products. The Foreman ensures high-quality output, maintains inventory accuracy, upholds strict safety standards, and manages facility cleanliness and basic maintenance Success in this position will be demonstrated by your ability lean a team in prep, pour, strip, and clean precast forms while adhering to company values of integrity, teamwork, attentional to detail, innovation, and excellence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- keep daily production schedule.
- Operate overhead crane.
- Prep, strip, turn, and clean all concrete forms.
- Prep plastic liners in vault production.
- Weld cages for pole base production.
- Prep PVC and set up anchor bolts in pole base production.
- Cut wire for reinforcing, and cutting and bending rebar.
- Trowl, vibrate and close forms.
- Clean mixer and bucket.
- Sweep production plant floor.
- Perform preventative maintenance on mixer.
- Perform aggregate bin maintenance.
- Cement and fly ash screw maintenance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of precast concrete production experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role.
- Strong knowledge of concrete forming, reinforcing, curing, and finishing processes.
- Experience with Wilbert vaults, septic tanks, or light pole bases is a big plus.
- Valid forklift/crane certification (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to read blueprints and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
This is a physically demanding role that includes lifting up to 50+ lbs, standing for long periods, and working in a dusty, industrial environment.
