Post Frame Carpenter/Shop Support Jobs in New Sharon, IA at Communication Data Link
Renda Building Company is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Post Frame Building Fabricator to support our framing crews by preparing building material packages in our warehouse facility. This position plays a key role in keeping field crews productive and prepared by accurately cutting, organizing, and staging materials for upcoming projects. This position will include transporting and delivery of materials. Requires a CDL License.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working with lumber and construction materials, takes pride in accuracy and efficiency, and works well in a fast-paced team environment. This position is primarily warehouse-based; however, occasional field work may be required to support framing crews, assist on larger projects, or help fill in during staffing or scheduling needs.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut lumber and building materials according to project plans
- Prepare complete material packages for framing crews to install in the field
- Read and interpret construction drawings, cut sheets, and material lists
- Organize and label materials for efficient loading and installation
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and maintaining inventory organization
- Operate saws, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely
- Keep warehouse and fabrication areas clean, organized, and production-ready
- Communicate with Project Managers and field crews regarding material needs or shortages

Qualifications
- Construction, carpentry, framing, or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math
- Experience using power tools and saws preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
