Porter/Labourer – College/Uni Summer Student Position Jobs in Ottawa at Bona Building & Management
We are a property management company in Ottawa looking to add a hardworking, and efficient summer student to our team! The ideal candidate must be a college or university student. This is a summer position and will end at the end of August.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the general upkeep of cleanliness and order of commercial properties
Dispose of garbage, recycling, etc. throughout the property, as required
Perform and assist in routine building maintenance as required and asked
Maintaining lawns, gardens and green spaces in summer months
Assisting in snow removal, laying sand/ice melter and ensuring the grounds are safe for tenants in winter months
Performing cleaning tasks as directed by Building Operator or Manager that can include sweeping, mopping etc.
Collecting refuse, garbage and recycling and disposing of it in the proper bins.
Act as escort for contractors on site who need to access occupied spaces that require clearance.
Assisting the maintenance team with tasks as directed and able.
Requirements/Qualifications
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
Good communication and customer service skills
No on-call
Must be able to be cleared
Aware of health & safety policies/regulations
Hours:
7:30AM to 4:00PM
Job Types: Full-time, Internship / Co-op
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
