Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pool Technician or Tradesman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing pools to ensure safe, clean, and efficient operation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing mechanical skills and hands-on expertise to deliver exceptional service to our clients. Candidates should possess a strong background in pool maintenance, equipment repair, and general maintenance tasks.
Duties
- Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing to maintain optimal water quality
- Conduct regular pool inspections to identify issues with pumps, filters, heaters, and other equipment
- Repair and replace faulty pool components using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain chemical balance by testing water parameters and adding necessary chemicals
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities
- Keep detailed records of service performed and parts used for each pool maintenance visit
- Assist with seasonal start-up and shutdown procedures for pools as needed
Experience
- Prior experience as a service technician or in pool maintenance is preferred but not required
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to pool equipment and systems preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic plumbing or electrical repairs related to pools is desired
- Knowledge of chemical balancing and water chemistry management is a plus
- Previous work with pool cleaning equipment and routine maintenance tasks is highly desirable
This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. A background in service technician roles or maintenance positions will be advantageous for success in this position.
