We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Polyurethane Coater to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality polyurethane coatings to various products, ensuring durability, aesthetic appeal, and adherence to safety standards. Duties
- Operate spray equipment such as airless paint sprayers and other power tools to apply polyurethane coatings efficiently and evenly.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion and finish quality.
- Use hand tools and fabrication techniques to assemble or modify parts as needed before coating.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts, cranes, and proper materials handling procedures to move products within the workspace.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and surface smoothness.
- Maintain a clean work environment by following industrial painting and auto body repair best practices.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and optimize workflow efficiency while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial painting, with knowledge of auto painting or auto body repair preferred.
- Familiarity with machining, fabrication, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control checks.
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers or gauges is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with an understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour
