Job Summary
Join our dynamic construction team as a Plumbing Assistant and play a vital role in supporting skilled plumbers on a variety of construction, maintenance projects, repairs and Septic. Duties
- Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites.
- Prepare work areas by organizing tools, materials, and equipment needed for plumbing tasks.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment to support plumbing operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Support site safety protocols by maintaining a clean work environment and following safety guidelines at all times.
- Help with remodeling, assembly, HVAC components, and general maintenance tasks as directed.
- Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper fitting of pipes and fixtures.
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction site, handyman work and Septic is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic knowledge of construction plumbing, pipe threading, welding, carpentry, and schematics.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning about HVAC systems and field service operations.
- Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions clearly from supervisors.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe sizes and layouts.
