The plant sanitation is responsible for the general housekeeping of all plant areas
Job Location: Georgetown, ON
Job Type: Full Time
Shift Available: Afternoon
Compensation: $22.50/hr CAD
Principal Accountabilities:
Perform general housekeeping of all plant areas Utilize cleaning supplies such as rags, brooms, mops, vacuums, and extendable poles to clean assigned areas and equipment Fill soap, sanitizer, paper towel, and toilet paper dispensers throughout the plant Maintain empty garbage and recycling receptacles throughout the plant Utilize and store cleaning chemicals Document completed tasks using the sanitation and cleaning schedule Clean pipes, tanks, racks or another equipment Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written) Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 55lbs, kneeling, climbing, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must have cleaning experience Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice for training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in cleaning in a plant environment
