About the role
Based at the Detour Lake Mine in northern Ontario, one of Canada’s largest gold operations you will support our field teams maintaining and servicing rock drills, excavators, compressors, trucks and other heavy equipment. This is a camp-based rotational role with flights/travel and camp accommodation provided while on site. We will support you with specific equipment and licence training.
Your key responsibilities
- Diesel engine, vehicle and trailer repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Small tool procurement and parts management on site
- Maintain up-to-date service records and MTO/CVOR compliance
- Light fabrication and welding.
About you
Develop your mechanical plant maintenance skills in the mining and construction industry, in a company where everyone champions safety every day. We offer an autonomous environment where your ideas are valued. You will have an eye for detail, process improvement and a can-do attitude.
- Heavy equipment mechanics and hydraulics experience
- Welding certification (CWB) ideally
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence — Class G minimum, ideally Class DZ or AZ
- Comfortable working on a remote mine site and completing site-specific inductions (e.g. Ontario Common Core an advantage).
