Position Overview:
The Plant Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the plant, ensuring efficient production processes, adherence to quality standards, and optimal utilization of resources. The successful candidate will possess strong
communication
and
leadership
skills and management experience in food manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations to meet production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and reduce costs.
Provide
leadership
and guidance to department managers and staff, fostering a culture of
teamwork
, accountability, and
continuous improvement
.
Collaborate with
cross-functional teams
to identify and resolve operational issues, drive process improvements, and implement best practices.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including
food safety
, health, and environmental regulations.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, control expenses, and maximize operational efficiency.
Foster a safety culture, promoting adherence to safety policies and procedures, and leading initiatives to enhance workplace safety.
Maintain effective
communication
channels with
senior management
, providing regular updates on plant performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Drive
employee engagement
and talent development initiatives, including training, performance management, and
succession planning
.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing
leadership
role, preferably in the food or CPG industry.
Proven track record
of successfully managing manufacturing operations, driving process improvements, and achieving operational excellence.
Strong
communication skills
, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Excellent
leadership
and decision-making abilities, focusing on building and developing high-performing teams.
Knowledge of quality management systems, lean manufacturing principles, and
continuous improvement
methodologies.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to
food safety
, health, and environmental compliance.
Proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP systems.
