We are seeking a Director of Operations to take full ownership of three manufacturing plants and two distribution centers in Quebec. This is not just a job—it’s a chance to shape the operational future of a global specialty materials leader.
What You Will Own
You will be responsible for both daily operations and long-term strategy across:
Production
Logistics
Engineering
Procurement
Quality
Health & Safety
Maintenance
Your Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Develop and manage plant budgets, labor costs, production costs, and capital expenditures.
Drive planned margins by aligning financial performance with revenue.
Leadership & Talent Development
Lead managers across all operational departments.
Set annual performance objectives and build leadership pipelines, including succession planning.
Act as the critical bridge between local sites and corporate functions.
Coordination & Performance
Ensure seamless collaboration across operations, sales, supply chain, and finance.
Track KPIs for production, quality, safety, and logistics.
Strategy Execution
Develop and execute a long-term strategy to improve site performance and achieve sales growth, including investments, workforce planning, and production improvements.
Maintain strong results and implement improvement plans where needed.
Collaborate with the corporate H&S team to ensure a safe, compliant workplace.
Continuous Improvement
Stay current with new technologies, manufacturing processes, and best practices.
Drive change, modernization, and an annual cost-reduction plan.
The Perfect Fit
Required Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of strategic operations management experience.
Proven experience managing multiple sites (essential).
Strong financial management and P&L experience.
