About Us

Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.

The Role

As a member of the maintenance planning team, reporting to the senior planner, you will be committed towards helping Key Lake reach reliability excellence. You have a strong knowledge of maintenance planning best practices and of the maintenance work requirements of a mining or milling facility. You will build relationships and work closely with maintenance supervisors and trades personnel, focusing on a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and digital transformation.

In this role, you will:

Develop complete work order packages, manage labour availability and material delivery

Develop repair plans, optimize maintenance plans to improve maintenance activities

Maximize equipment availability and maintenance worker efficiency

Contribute to asset reliability through various continual improvement efforts

Create and modify work plans to ensure preventive and predictive maintenance efficiencies

Be responsible for backlog management, reporting and follow up

Assist with interpreting key performance indicators

Assist with bills of materials and equipment data, preparing reports and scheduling support

Required:

Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial industrial mechanic journeyperson trade certificate or mechanical technologist diploma

A minimum of five years maintenance scheduling and planning experience in an industrial setting

Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered

Strong computer and technical skills

Effective verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills, working with various levels in the organization

Experience with a computer maintenance management system such as SAP

Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Recommended:

Previous maintenance planning, coordinating and/or scheduling experience

Previous lead hand/supervisory experience

Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification, CMRP designation or equivalent

Knowledge of asset management, reliability, and maintenance execution best practices
