About the Opportunity
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Graduate from a recognized Community College Physiotherapist Assistant program that meets the standard set by Physiotherapy Education Accreditation Canada.
- BCLS
- Ability to communicate well with patients, their families and health care team members
- Must be cooperative and possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work with physiotherapy and health care team members
- Organizational ability to complete assigned work and manage changing staffing and caseload levels
- Previous experience working with physically and/or cognitively impaired people is an asset
- Knowledge of proper body mechanics, anatomy, basic computer skills and training in electro-physical agents and other physiotherapy specific interventions
- Knowledge of common diseases and disabilities as well as the treatments, precautions and contraindications for them
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

- Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
