Detailed Overview

Reporting clinically to the Professional Practice Chief / Clinical Practice Leaderand administratively to the Manager, Clinical Operations, this position assesses, plans, implements, and monitors physiotherapy treatment to patients/residents. Delegates components of treatment to Assistants/Aides. As part of the

interdisciplinary

team, acts as a resource on issues relating to areas of physiotherapy expertise. Participates in development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical physiotherapy practice, including philosophy, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement and risk management of the physiotherapy services.

Responsibilities

Provides clinical physiotherapy treatment, including, assessment,problem identification, setting treatment goals, treatments and re-evaluation of patients/residents. Educates patients/residents and their families in aspects of the physiotherapy treatment. Obtains patient/resident history from chart, interviews and observation, as well as information provided at patent/resident conferences and team meetings. As a member of theinterdisciplinaryteam, makes recommendations for treatment, to ensure quality patient/resident care.
