Job Summary:
Nation Health Centre is currently looking for a part-time or full-time Physiotherapist for the provision of physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and care to patients residing in the Nation community and surrounding areas.
Essential Responsibilities:
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering physiotherapy services to clients including:
Initiating and managing the assessment and treatment for restoring movement/function and pain management;
Developing personalized exercise programs to develop and restore range of motion, strength, endurance,
flexibility
, and balance;
Administering electrotherapy, prescribing and educating clients utilization of mobility aids, assistive devices and other equipment;
Care coordination and
collaboration
with other professionals;
Client care planning, charting, care conferences, discharge, and transition planning;
Overseeing and coordinating the roles and functions of Physiotherapy Support Personnel, in conjunction with the broader care team;
Essential
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy;
Registration with College of Physiotherapy of Ontario; CPR certification; ADP certified or willingness to become certified preferred;
Strong physical assessment & treatment planning skills;
Excellent time management and organizational skills;
Ability to
work independently, yet collaboratively as a member of a team;
Excellent oral and written
communication skills
; A commitment to best practices, quality, and client-centered care; 2-3 years clinical practice experience preferred;
Experience with
neuro and vestibular rehabilitation an asset;
Bilingual (French and English) considered an asset Additional Information:
