We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Scarborough, ON. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and registered technicians in dispensing medications and maintaining efficient pharmacy operations. Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists and registered technicians in dispensing medications and maintaining inventory levels.
Perform data entry tasks accurately using computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Kroll).
Process billing for third-party plans.
Maintain patient records and prescription files with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Provide exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and electronically.
Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
Follow all safety protocols to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Perform general office duties as required to support pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmacy setting is required.
Experience with Kroll pharmacy software is an asset (1+ year preferred).
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and labeling.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in computer usage from prior job experiences.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
