Position Summary

The Person al Support Worker (PSW) provides high-quality personal care and assistance with daily living activities in clients’ homes or community settings. The PSW plays a vital role in ensuring clients feel safe, respected, and supported.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)

Assist with mobility and safe transfers

Support meal preparation and feeding assistance

Perform light housekeeping related to client care

Provide companionship and emotional support

Monitor and report changes in client condition to the Care Coordinator

Assist with medication reminders (as per care plan)

Maintain accurate documentation and client records

Follow infection prevention and safety protocols

Uphold client confidentiality and professional standards

Qualifications

PSW Certificate from an accredited institution

Current CPR/First Aid Certification

Up-to-date immunizations (including TB screening)

Vulnerable Sector Police Check

Previous home care or long-term care experience preferred

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
