Description

Recruitment & Onboarding Support

  • Coordinate high-volume retail hiring (job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication)
  • Support onboarding processes for new hires across multiple locations
  • Prepare offer letters, contracts, and new hire documentation for Retail and HQ Staff
  • Ensure a seamless and positive candidate and onboarding experience

Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Assist in rolling out engagement initiatives and employee programs across stores
  • Support internal communications (announcements, updates, culture initiatives)
  • Help organize events, recognition programs, and team-building activities
  • Act as a friendly first point of contact for employee questions

HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems (HRIS)
  • Process and support with employee changes including promotions, transfers and terminations
  • Support payroll coordination and employee data updates
  • Maintain the HRIS and SharePoint – ensuring the information is up to date and accurately filed at all times
  • Update and maintain all HR related checklists and Organizational Charts
  • Responsible for the timely response to queries in the general Talent Inbox
  • Assist with creating employee allowance codes for new hires and for twice annual issuance
  • Track key HR metrics (turnover, hiring, attendance)
  • Assist with reporting and documentation

Employee Relations Support

  • Provide basic guidance on policies and escalate more complex issues
  • Support documentation for employee relations matters
  • Help ensure consistent application of policies across locations

Compliance & Process Support

  • Ensure employee files and documentation meet legal and company standards
  • Support audits and compliance checks
  • Help maintain and update HR policies and procedures

Office Management

  • Ensure office space is fully stocked and maintained, including stationaries, kitchens, boardrooms and common areas
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with all office related vendors, including security company, repairs/building maintenance, food and beverage service, recycling and janitorial services, courier and storage services. Ensure we have the right service levels and that the vendors are performing per agreement
  • Assist with planning and coordination of company celebrations and People & Culture health, safety and wellness initiatives
  • Other projects and tasks, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, administration, or retail support roles
  • Experience in retail or customer-facing environments is an asset
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (HRIS experience is a plus)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary range of $55,000 to $60,000 CAD
