Payroll Specialist/General Accountant Jobs in Lincoln at Hendriks Greenhouses
We are looking for a highly motivated Payroll Specialist/General Accountant to join our team! Someone who brings excellent time management and communication skills and has a passion for solving problems.
Responsibilities will include:
Processing and managing multiple payrolls for employees using ADP Workforce Now
Analyzing and verifying payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
Providing time and attendance management and maintenance of departmental changes
Calculating and processing adjustments, deductions, garnishments and other special calculations as required
Preparing month end journal entries and reviewing monthly accruals as required
Liaising with controller for impact on labour variances and providing needed support
WSIB reporting and preparation of annual returns
Responding to employee inquiries
Coordinating and completing year end reports with a strong attention to details
Skills Needed:
Post secondary degree in business, finance or other related field
Enrollment or certification in Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) program or equivalent experience
3+ years of Ontario payroll and general accounting experience
Strong computer and analytical skills including advanced knowledge of Excel, payroll systems and general knowledge of Business Vision
Ability to multi-task and work independently under pressure of tight deadlines.
