Pay range: $72.56 – 159.79 per hour Located at the Barrie campus and reporting to the Associate Dean, the incumbent develops and delivers courses in the General Business and Business Accounting programs. Courses may be scheduled and delivered during the day or evening. This course is scheduled for in person delivery at the Barrie campus, Mondays from 8 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Develops and delivers courses in the General Business and Business Accounting programso FNCE 2000 Business Finance

• Develops and delivers appropriate curriculum to meet course objectives

• Incorporates a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs

• Evaluates student progress / achievement

• Participates in program and college activities as required

• Participates in program revision and renewal activities as required

• Creates and maintains a positive

learning environment

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor degree in Business or related discipline

• A Masters of Business Administration or related Maters degree preferred

• Working knowledge of financial and accounting processes

• Familiarity with business finance and experience with analysing financial statements

• Excellent

communication

, interpersonal and

problem-solving skills

• Proven ability to work in a

team environment

and to foster the same in their students

• Experience managing change and leading

innovation

• A commitment to life-long learning

• Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies

• Computer literacy:

Microsoft Office Suite

• Computer literacy with a Learning Management System / Web Delivery Software (i.e. Blackboard) and a Student Information System would be considered an asset

• Teaching and Training Adults certification and / or experience in a teaching or training capacity is an asset

Acceptable proof of

education

(degrees, credentials) from recognized post-secondary institutions or confirmation of international equivalencies will be required as part of the selection process.
