Part time Daycare worker-Temporary Jobs in Calgary at Little Stars Ltd
Little Stars is looking to recruit a dynamic daycare teacher for our awesome group of kids!! You will be working in Crestmont SW (12400 Crestmont Blvd SW).
Hours and days to be determined as this position is for 3-6 weeks; unknown start date at this moment as it depends on a staff leaving for surgery. Hours are between 7am and 6pm
Responsibilities and Duties (this is not a complete list):
Engaging with children ages 19 months to 6 years old during play, activities, transitions, outside time
Change diapers (if necessary)
Assist with washroom and potty training (if necessary)
Centre is open 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday so shift is during operation hours.
Attend staff meetings and professional development days
Assist with dressing (as necessary)
Assist with prepping snack
Following routines and transitions for the children
Working in a team of 3-6 adults
Engage with parents by having positive conversations (even when something bad has happened)
Work well under pressure and stress with a large group of children.
Able to be flexible with the daily schedule and able to plan for last minute changes in routine.
Qualifications and Skills
Level 1, 2 or 3 ECE; valid certification needed
minimum of 1 year experience in child care
First Aid and CPR-must have
Current police check (within 6 months) with clear vulnerable sector search-needs to be valid within this time frame
Speak, write and read English (or good enough English to be understood properly by everyone

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
