of the Pogadyl Park Campground, we are beginning recruitment for multiple:

Parks Labourers/ Campground Attendants

Seasonal term ending September 2, 2024

Starting Wage – $18.33/hour
Up to 40 hour per week

Availability required for Days, Evenings and Weekends

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:

Maintenance, cleanliness and upkeep of the campground, public parks, washroom
facilities, trails, playgrounds and sports fields. May include activities such as waste

removal, landscaping and planting, turf mowing, weed control and plant care, general

repairs, customer service and assistance with special events.
 Dealing with questions from the public in a friendly and professional manner. The ability

to refer questions to supervisors when necessary.
 Operate and maintain tools and small equipment such as OHV/ATV, mowers, weed

eaters, trailers and tillers.
 Operate and maintain Town vehicles.

Recording vehicle and equipment inspections, near miss and hazard assessments, and
maintaining other safety training documentation.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in campground operations, landscape maintenance, turf
maintenance, customer service, construction and use of power tools will given

consideration.
 Experienced Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License with clean or near clean abstract as

deemed acceptable by the Town.
 RCMP based Criminal Record Check is required to be considered

Current Standard First Aid/CPR preferred

Previous experiences working in the Parks and Recreation field is an asset.

Must be available to work full time weekends, evenings, or early mornings as required
throughout the summer.

Physical ability and strength, including lifting up to 50 lbs. to perform manual labour
tasks and handle equipment.

Work as part of a team, demonstrate excellent communication, positively interact with
the public, and adhere to safe work practices.

Candidates must be able and willing to work outdoors in varying winter weather
conditions.

Competencies for this position include demonstrated abilities in the following areas:
excellent communications skills, positive interactions with public, ability to work as part of

a team, ability to adhere to safe work practices and Occupational Health and Safety

regulations.
