Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic coaches to lead parkour programming in both recreational parkour classes and summer camps, working with participants age 5y+.
Responsibilities and Duties
-Coach weekly parkour classes.
-Lead parkour camps (including PA Day, March Break & Summer Camp).
-Facilitate special events, including corporate workshops and birthday parties.
-Supervise open gym programming.
-Help setup, sanitize and clean the teaching spaces before and after classes.
-Implement and adapt ready-made lesson plans.
-Able to demonstrate basic parkour skills.
Performance Expectations
-Shows excitement for coaching, learning and self-development.
-Resolve conflicts and manage disruptions in class effectively.
-Anticipate and mitigate potential safety hazards during classes.
-Works collaboratively and seamlessly with all staff.
-Monitor class safety, performance and student engagement.
-Communicate clearly, in a concise, engaging, charismatic, accurate and relatable coaching voice.
-Adapt delivery of parkour movement concepts to suit different learning styles.
-Maintain professionalism as a Play Project staff member, including appropriate attire and respectful interactions with staff and clients.
Qualifications and Skills
-Willingness to learn and develop as a parkour coach and athlete.
-Experience with parkour or a similar movement background (i.e. dance, gymnastics, climbing, etc.) OR experience in a camp environment.
-Minimum of 1 year experience in a teaching, coaching, or supervising position.
-First Aid Certification is preferred but not required.
-Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
-Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

Pay: $18.75-$20.50 per hour
