Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Pallet Dismantler to join our manufacturing and warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dismantling used pallets to recover reusable wood, sorting materials, and maintaining an organized work area. This role is physically demanding and requires consistency, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. The position focuses on safety, efficiency, and keeping production running smoothly.
Duties
- Dismantle used pallets using a pallet stripping machine and hand tools to recover usable boards
- Sort and place different wood pieces into designated racks and stacks
- Move pallets and materials to and from the work area as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift and at the end of the day
- Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment when required
- Assist with general labour tasks around the shop as needed
- Work with team members to maintain steady production flow and meet daily targets
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, warehouse, or general labour environments preferred
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including lifting, standing, and repetitive tasks
- Strong work ethic with the ability to show up on time and work consistently
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of calipers and other precision measurement tools.
- Basic experience with hand tools is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to assist in different areas of the shop when needed
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks throughout the shift. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
