Broadstreet Properties Ltd. is looking to add a Painter to our team in Winnipeg! As a Painter, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the perception and appearance of our apartment and townhome properties. You will own the painting standards in all vacated apartments and other areas of our buildings and see that they are painted to “market ready” status in a timely manner.

Your contributions to the team include:

Inspecting and painting vacated apartments and completing required paperwork

Completing major repaint projects as directed by the Specialty Teams Supervisor including hallways, common areas and office space

Communicating with your supervisor concerning particular apartments that need painting in order of priority

Repairing all damages incurred in walls, caulks tubs and ceramic tile

Performing all tasks in a neat and efficient manner including cleaning all brushes, rollers and equipment and returning equipment to their designated storage facility at the end of each day

Performing other duties as required

What you need to be successful:

2+ years’ experience in the painting trade

Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade

Skilled in the preparation and application of paints, stains, and surface preparation materials to a wide variety of surfaces

In good physical condition with mobility and flexibility to use ladders, access work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs

Well organized and work with a sense of urgency

Work well under pressure and maintain a pleasant demeanor under stress

Maintain a high standard of safety and cleanliness

Possess good communication skills and be able to accurately read and act on instructions

Willing and able to travel between sites
