We are looking for PACKERS to join our Team in Aurora, Ontario.
The primary function of this position is to inspect and neatly pack product to ensure that bags going to The Customer are of proper quantity and quality.
In this position, you will be responsible to visually inspect bag seals, print and position for defaults and quality. You will collect a pre-determined number of bags and pack them into boxes and then seal and properly label filled boxes to prepare for shipping. This may include stacking boxes on skids. You will also be responsible for building boxes by folding and taping, and maintaining the area around machines for cleanliness.
You must have the ability to count, read and write English. Good hand coordination, and and keen eye for detail is imperative. Exceptional communication with both the operator and supervisor is essential.
There is some light lifting, continuous standing, gripping, reaching are some of the physical demands of this position.
These positions are 12 hour continental shifts, which requires a day shift, night shift and weekend work schedule. This schedule rotates every two weeks.
It will be expected that you will follow all standard operating and safety procedures. This includes but is not limited to safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, cut gloves and hair nets and beard nets (if applicable).
