We currently have an
exciting
opportunity for a Packaging Specialist in Pineville, USA. The successful candidate will participate in projects and tasks related to packaging for pipe and fittings products manufactured at IPEX company wide. This role is positioned within the Product Management team and will report to the Packaging Manager.
Principal
Responsibilities
Optimizing current packaging products and methods for efficiency, safety and value
Helping to ensure standardization of packaging practices across IPEX where possible
Providing technical specifications and guidance to Procurement in sourcing packaging materials
Interact regularly with Manufacturing, Distribution Centers, Transportation and Supply Chain to ensure packaging meets all business needs and is cost-effective
Support team members of Product Management and
Innovation
for Product Information Management (PIM) content and creation of new products
Education
&
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ successful experience in a manufacturing or distribution center environment;
Completion of post-secondary educational program concerning Packaging;
Proven excellent organizational, writing and presentation skills;
An ability to work as a team player with other departments, or independently with strong self-motivation skills; and Willingness for occasional overnight travel.
