Overview
The Packaging Operator is responsible for carrying out packaging tasks to ensure high quality product and efficient processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all tasks associated with packaging (kegging, canning, 6-packing, shrink wrapping, pasteurization, palletization) to meet production and shipping schedules.
Ensure accurate data entry and record keeping.
Maintain equipment as well as identify any deficiencies and inform the Production Manager
· Follow standard operating procedures and maintain equipment reporting any deficiencies to the Senior Packaging Operator.
· Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Troubleshoot any operational problems that may occur in the packaging process, escalating to the Senior Packaging Operator as appropriate and necessary.
Monitor packaging materials inventory levels and inform Production Manager at minimum quantity thresholds.
Unload and load shipping and receiving, as well as check orders for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in other areas of production to maintain brewing schedule.
Clean, sanitize and organize workspace, including production and inventory areas, and equipment.
Participate in ensuring a healthy and safe workspace and product.
Other related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
One year of brewing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mechanical aptitude to work with different and new brewing equipment.
Equipment troubleshooting ability.
Willingness and ability to learn new job skills.
Forklift operating experience an asset.
Excellent teamwork, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize, meet, and work within tight and changing deadlines.
Ability to work well in a team environment collaborating and working towards a common goal.
A passion for craft beer.

Working Conditions
Production floor with a variety of brewing and packaging equipment.
Fast paced environment.
Flexible availability for work hours – evenings/weekends.
Lift heavy objects (including cases of beer, kegs, equipment) up to 140 lbs.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
