Overnight Public Area Cleaner/Laundry Attendant – Seasonal Jobs in Port Severn at Christie’s Mill Inn & Spa
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Overnight Laundry Attendant & Public Areas Cleaner to help maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest experience of the property during overnight hours. This role is responsible for operating laundry equipment, processing hotel linens, and ensuring all public areas are clean, sanitized, and well maintained before the start of daily operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesLaundry Duties
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, robes, and staff uniforms
- Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor laundry chemical levels and report any maintenance concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room
- Ensure linen inventory is properly stocked and prepared for morning operations
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures
Public Area Cleaning Duties
- Clean and sanitize all public spaces including lobby, hallways, restaurant, washrooms, stairwells, elevators, and meeting areas
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust surfaces, and remove garbage/recycling
- Ensure entrances and common areas remain presentable throughout the shift
- Restock public washrooms and guest amenities as needed
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately
- Assist with light housekeeping support when required
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or laundry experience preferred
- Ability to work independently overnight with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Flexible and team-oriented mindset
Working Conditions
- Overnight shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive movements

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
