Walmart Canada is seeking an Overnight Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to company guidelines. This role involves leading associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and driving profitable store sales at the Quebec City location.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. Proactively analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to identify and respond to market changes.
  • Create operational plans with the management team; prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to managers and associates. Ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and store standards.
  • Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls; maintain quality assurance standards; ensure compliance with Walmart policies and procedures and established safety, security, sales, financial, and record-keeping practices.
  • Serve customers as an ambassador by greeting them, seeking feedback, and resolving customer needs, complaints, and issues within company guidelines to create a positive shopping experience.
  • Support store community initiatives by participating in events and developing relationships with key community groups.
  • Lead associates by conducting regular store meetings, driving engagement, recognizing accomplishments, and providing opportunities for professional growth. Develop associates and identify high-potential team members.
  • Demonstrate company values by holding associates accountable through timely, honest, specific, and respectful performance feedback and corrective action.
  • Comply with all company standards for handling merchandise including alcohol, ammunition, narcotics, and high-ticket items. Ensure appropriate cash controls, handling up to $250,000 per day.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze sales and financial data
  • Experience in retail management or a supervisory role
  • Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights
  • Sound judgement when handling high-value cash and merchandise

Salary

The pay range for this position is $56,100.00 – $66,642.50 annually, based on relevant experience.
