Order Picker/Shipper Jobs in Vaughan at Unique Fine Fabrics USA
Unique Fine Fabrics is a rapidly growing textile company servicing the interior decorating industry since 1979. The Order Picker is responsible for filling and preparing customer orders for shipments globally while adhering to the company’s standards for safety, security, productivity and quality control. The order picker is also responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled. Additional and supportive responsibilities are also required to support our fast-paced team.
This is a full-time day position from Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
Order Picking :
- Utilize pick tickets to efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct quantity and type of product is filled and documented.
- Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Wrap, label, and transport finished orders to designated areas prior to loading the trucks.
- Operate machinery in a safe and controlled method, and only utilize machinery when necessary if properly trained.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, while ensuring personal safety as well as the safety of others.
Shipper:
- Prepare orders for shipping via small carrier such as Fedex and LTL full skid loads
- Use a series of shipping software
- Experience using Fedex shipping software an asset
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance in conducting physical inventories where required.
- Provide assistance in receiving, checking, and working inbound deliveries where required.
- Quality checks on designated products
- Returning products to shelf after processing an order
- Clear the working area of any debris and garbage upon the completion of work for the benefit of the next shift.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of warehouse experience and picking orders is considered an asset
- Experience Shipping and Receiving is considered an asset
- Proficient in using computers and various software systems such as UPS and Fedex Shipping
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment within a team or independently
- Ability to lift 50lbs
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
