Order Picker Jobs in Hamilton at Custan Food Group Inc.
Custan Food Group Inc. is a specialty food importer and distributor. We are a fast-paced distributor servicing the retail market with specialty foods from around the world. Our goal is to bring the best products to our customers in the most efficient and timely manner.
We are currently seeking an experienced Order Picker to support our busy warehouse. The order picker will be responsible for quickly selecting items and packaging them in the correct order for shipping. This position requires excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for candidates who are interested in growing with an organization and who have experience working in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
Pick and pack orders for shipping
Stage orders for delivery drivers
Ensure all orders are completed by end of shift for next day delivery
Qualifications:
Completion of High school or equivalent
Must have 2+ years of directly related experience
Basic reading, writing and math skills; understanding of a distribution business
Strong computer (mobile device) knowledge for data entry-type functions
Strong attention to detail
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills combined with an ability to effectively manage changing priorities
Ability to work under pressure
Capable of working with minimal supervision
Ability to lift up to 40-50lbs
