Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optical services and retail sales, with the ability to provide exceptional service to our clients. As an Optician, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting eyewear, fitting glasses and contact lenses, and ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their needs and preferences.
- Provide expert advice on lens options, coatings, and other optical products.
- Accurately fit glasses and contact lenses, ensuring proper measurements and adjustments.
- Maintain an organized display of eyewear and ensure the cleanliness of the optical area.
- Process orders for eyewear and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient care.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and advancements in optical technology.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or optical services is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care is a plus.
- Familiarity with laboratory processes for lens fabrication is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
- Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is desirable but not mandatory.
- Retail management experience is a plus but not required.
