Busy multi-physician eye clinic in west Toronto seeking full-time Ophthalmic Technicians

Duties and technical requirements:
- Triage and pre-testing: Patient history and preliminary exam and entry of results into EMR
- Visual acuity, auto-refraction, visual field testing, intraocular pressure measurement
- Applying eye drops for anesthesia and dilation
- Preparing instruments for minor office procedures and injections
- Prepping patients and assisting with minor procedures
- Diagnostic testing including visual fields, OCT, pachymetry, IOL Master, A-Scan, topography
- Identifying and troubleshooting any malfunctions in diagnostic equipment
- Reviewing patient charts prior to each clinic to ensure all necessary diagnostic tests are scheduled and adding any diagnostic tests as required during clinics
- Participation in IOL master and topography calculations for surgical and other patients
- Keeping the exam rooms maintained and up to date
- Helping with workflow in the office and providing comments/suggestions to improve efficiency of patient flow
- Other duties as required in the office
Experience in ophthalmology or optometry field preferred
Experience with Oscar or other Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
