Our client is a well-established Canadian organization with a strong reputation for delivering engineered products and customized solutions to a diverse range of industrial markets. As the company continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership across manufacturing, procurement, engineering, and logistics.

Reporting to the senior leadership team, the Operations Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving efficiencies, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring the organization continues to deliver exceptional quality, service, and value to its customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across manufacturing, procurement, engineering, logistics, and inventory management functions.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies, business plans, budgets, and performance objectives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement, process optimization, cost reduction, and enhanced customer satisfaction.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team through effective coaching, accountability, and employee engagement.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance, identify opportunities, and drive operational improvements.
  • Oversee manufacturing activities, production planning, scheduling, quality, and resource utilization to maximize efficiency.
  • Manage procurement and supplier relationships to optimize cost, quality, inventory levels, and service performance.
  • Ensure effective logistics and supply chain processes to support on-time delivery and customer commitments.
  • Develop and improve operational processes, policies, and systems to support scalability and long-term growth.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, capital planning, operational improvements, and organizational growth.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of operational systems, reporting tools, and business processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive senior leadership experience within a manufacturing, industrial distribution, engineered products, or related environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-functional operations teams including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and engineering.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute operational strategies while improving efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing budgets, operational metrics, and performance reporting.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO, or similar methodologies is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, vendor relationships, inventory optimization, and production processes.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives and supporting organizational growth and transformation.
  • Engineering degree, technical diploma, or equivalent operational leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple locations or geographically dispersed teams is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • This position offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $135,000–$150,000, complemented by a performance-based bonus program.
