JOB TITLE: Onboarding Safety Coordinator
STATUS: FULL TIME
OVERALL DUTIES: The Onboarding Safety Coordinator will be responsible for data entry, Driver Qualification research, documentation, file maintenance and overall administrative support to the Safety Department.
This position reports to the Manager of Safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare DOT New Driver employment history mapping to have driver files ready for Orientation processing
- Work with newly hired drivers in orientation to complete the application packets and company policies
- Process and check files for any necessary corrections and missing documentation per FMCSA and Company regulations & policies.
- Work with newly hired drivers to correct any errors or omissions discovered during the audit process
- Assist with entering termination records in Tenstreet and HireRight
- Assist in the running of MVR’s to be reviewed by the Manager of Safety
- Build driver codes and driver records in the system
- Set up new drivers for electronic logs
- Work with the verification specialist to complete previous employment verifications as needed to ensure compliance within FMCSA specified guidelines
- Perform essential administrative duties, including but not limited to making, receiving and screening phone calls, answering safety questions and providing supplies
- Work directly with drivers and dispatch to ensure corrections and necessary documentation are received within required guidelines.
- Assist with follow up calls as assigned by the Manager of Safety
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Knowledge of Samsara and Tenstreet preferred
- Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task to meet or exceed deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as a team
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with employees, contractors and the general public
- Build and maintain professional relationships
- Maintain confidentiality in daily operations and conduct daily duties in a professional manner
- High school diploma or equivalent required plus one (1) year office/clerical experience
- Transportation, supply chain or logistics experience is strongly preferred
Required hours
· Monday through Friday 08:00-05:00
Work hours may have to be adjusted due to business needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 – $17.00 per hour
