Qualifications:
Registration (member in good standing) with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists Accepting New Graduates Licensed1-5 years of experience required
Previous experience treating clients with physical, mental health and/or neurological conditions
Ability to
be autonomous; working both independently and as part of the team Experience supporting occupational rehabilitation is a strong asset
Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long terms disability and WSIB referrals a strong asset
A valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle
Responsibilities:
Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning
Educating clients on topics such as pacing, pain, cognitive behavioral strategies and task modification strategies to help improve function.
Collaborating with an
interdisciplinary
team of professionals including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, psychotherapists, physicians and psychologists
Participating in case conferences and case management
Supporting return to work programs
Utilizing e-charting software to document treatment sessions; submitting reports to stakeholders in a timely manner
Managing caseload in a fast paced environment
