The Care Company is looking for an awesome, self-driven Register Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to assist us with paediatric and adult home care, working with clients from as young as 3 months to as old as over 100!
You will
be providing vital nursing services and keeping clients safe at home.
Shifts
Someone who can commit to an ongoing, weekly schedule (days and times are flexible as long as they are consistent)
Day, evening and overnight shifts available
Variety of shift lengths available (ranging from 3 hours-12 hours).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs (hygiene assistance, bathing, and medications administration) that is within the scope of practice for a Register Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
Provide exceptional patient care as outlined in their care plans, supporting patients with all applicable medical needs
Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly
Assists clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as required
Observe the patients’ medical health as well as their physical and mental responses
Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description
Completes records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
Requirements
Other requirements include:
An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver’s licence (not required)
Negative TB Test completed within the last year
CNO Registration and Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Certificate
COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
Valid Criminal Record Check – must be completed within the last year.
Valid CPR/First Aid certification
Valid WHMIS
2015 certification from the last year
Must be
able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
Ability to
identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed.

Bi-pap or C-pap
Cough assist

Seizure monitoring
