$19/hour – General Labourer – Temporary project
We are actively recruiting 5 temporary labourer(s) for an overnight store renovation project in MB – Winnipeg (St. Vital). This job is very physically demanding. You would be assisting in moving product and shelving units,discarding of construction material and assisting with other general laborer tasks.
Rate: $19/hour + vacation pay
Location: MB – Winnipeg (St. Vital)
Project Dates:
Long Term: March 31st, 2024 until February 20th, 2025. Note that there is a 2-month break in November and December 2024, with work resuming on January 5th, 2025.
Short Term: March 31st, 2024 until June 7th, 2024 with potential for more work
Availability: Sunday night – Friday morning shift, 10:30pm-7:00am – times may change
Hours/week: Hourly – Up to 40 hours/week hours a week
Job Responsibilities:
Moving product and fixtures in a big box retailer
Disposing of construction material
Cleaning store sections
Other general labour tasks as required
Physical requirements: Lifting up to 50lbs, on feet for entire shift.
Successful Candidate Qualifications:
Retail experience is considered an asset
Positive attitude, reliable, good communicator and fluent in English
PPE required: CSA Approved Safety footwear, Work Gloves, Hard Hat, Safety Vest
Reliable way to get to the location (transit will be limited due to nights)
Physically able to lift up to 50lbs, remain on feet for entire shift and work in a physically demanding position.
