Applying to the Candidate Pool will keep your application on file for six (6) months. We may pre-screen candidates for temporary employment opportunities that arise.
Job description and tasks
In addition to regular teaching responsibilities, the role also includes:
Involvement in pedagogical days organized by the College
Participation in departmental meetings
Involvement in student-focused activities such as field trips, competitions, and year-end Graduate Exhibition.
Performing other department related administrative duties
Required Qualifications
BA degree in Music
Excellent English communication skills essential
Experience teaching voice in the popular stylistic medium such as (Pop, R&B, Jazz, Rock, Hip hop) essential for all voice classes.
Experience teaching Pop & Classical guitar essential for all guitar courses.
Professional Vocal Performance experience in the Popular stylistic medium essential for all Voice classes.
Professional Guitar Performance experience in the Popular stylistic medium essential for all Guitar classes.
General knowledge of French is an asset.
To be considered for a full teaching load, candidates must be able teach courses in at least two of the following categories:
All the literature-based Courses: Appreciating Music, Music History, Pop & Jazz Culture
Guitar Courses
Voice Courses
