Job Summary
We are hiring a skilled Multi-Trade Handyman for residential remodeling, repair, and punch list work throughout the Chicagoland area.
This role is for someone who is highly skilled in drywall, painting, carpentry, framing, and cabinet installation. Basic plumbing and basic electrical experience are also required.
We need someone who can work independently, complete quality work without constant supervision, and represent the company professionally inside customers’ homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform drywall repair, patching, sanding, finishing, and touch-ups.
- Complete high-quality interior painting, prep work, and final touch-ups.
- Perform skilled carpentry work, including trim, baseboards, casing, doors, molding, shelves, and finish details.
- Handle framing repairs, small wall framing, blocking, structural prep, and basic layout work.
- Install and adjust cabinets, built-ins, vanities, hardware, and related finish components.
- Complete basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, fixtures, toilets, supply lines, drains, and minor leaks.
- Complete basic electrical work, including outlets, switches, light fixtures, fans, and minor troubleshooting.
- Complete remodeling punch list items and repair work with clean, finished results.
- Measure, cut, install, repair, and finish materials accurately.
- Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized.
- Communicate clearly with the project manager, client, and team when needed.
- Work independently and manage assigned tasks without needing constant direction.
Requirements
- Strong experience in drywall, painting, carpentry, framing, and cabinet installation.
- Basic plumbing and basic electrical skills.
- Ability to complete quality work independently.
- Ability to read measurements, follow scope details, and solve basic field issues.
- Strong attention to detail and clean finish work.
- Safe and proper use of hand tools and power tools.
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Able to lift materials and work on active residential job sites.
- Must be dependable, professional, punctual, and respectful in customers’ homes.
Preferred Experience
- Residential remodeling experience.
- Finish carpentry experience.
- Cabinet, door, trim, baseboard, and built-in installation.
- Punch list, repair, and handyman work.
- Flooring experience is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Compensation
$20–$28 per hour.
Pay depends on verified hands-on experience, quality of work, and ability to work independently.
Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
