Job Overview:
We are seeking areliable and motivatedindividual to join our team as a Mover/Driver. This position involves assisting with moving and transporting goods for our clients. As aMover/Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle, loading and unloading items, and providing excellent customer service.
Duties:
Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
Load and unload furniture items onto the vehicle using proper lifting techniques
Secure items to prevent damage during transportation
Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure smooth coordination of moving tasks
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions
Follow all safety protocols and regulations while handling and transporting goods
Perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition
Skills:
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients
Experience operating a forklift is preferred but not required
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with moving
Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
Strong customer service skills to provide a positive experience for clients
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Commercial driving experience is a plus

What you will you do:
Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment.
Wrap furniture in protective material
Operate dollies and other loading equipment to load and unload materials onto and off trucks and loading docks.
Demonstrate customer service and professionalism when dealing with clients and their property
Perform other activities such as opening containers and crates, assist in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials.
Assist with other tasks on the job site as required
Drivers will additionally:
Operate and drive straight trucks to transport goods and materials
Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal, Freelance
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week
