Duration Approximately Eighteen (18) Months
Diagnostic Imaging refers to several different technologies that use highly specialized equipment to quickly and accurately image the human body in order to diagnose, monitor or treat medical conditions. Each type of technology gives different information about the area of the body being studied or treated. These tests are performed by skilled technologists with specialized training. The Diagnostic Imaging Department at the NBRHC consists of, X-ray, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Mineral Density, Echocardiography, Mammography, Ontario Breast Screening and MRI with support services such as Picture Archiving and Communication Systems delivering images instantly to our physicians.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Experience/Knowledge
- Member of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario required
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required
- Certified Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health team required

- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of client groups to ensure patient focussed care delivery
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Ability to use a variety of computer applications
- Good attendance and work record required
- Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
- Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset.
