The Home Medical Equipment Delivery Driver is responsible for providing home delivery and pickup of home medical and oxygen equipment products, including respiratory equipment, to clients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, set up, and pick up home medical and oxygen equipment within your assigned route promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance to ensure reliability and safety.
- Safely load and unload equipment at delivery sites, upholding high safety standards.
- Identify and communicate any safety hazards at delivery locations.
- Complete all required regulatory paperwork, including TDG documentation and vehicle inspection reports.
- Perform routine equipment assessments and identify potential repairs at customer sites.
- Provide product education and supporting documentation to clients as per company procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in your work environment and complete daily inventory tasks.
- Work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and be available for after-hours and on-call emergency service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- 12 months of relevant driving experience and one year in customer service.
- Safety orientation and ability to lift objects up to 75 pounds.
- Compliance with internal policies, procedures, and government regulations.
- Ability to set priorities, meet tight deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Comfortable using smartphone technology and strong attention to detail.
- Team player with strong customer focus.
- Dependable, accountable, and fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
