NutraLab Canada Corporation is one of Canada’s premier contract manufacturers of natural health supplements. We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
Position Overview:
Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: In-person at 980 Tapscott Rd., Scarborough, ON M1X 1C3
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: To be negotiated

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment (softgel, capsule, tablet, powder, liquid, gummy, packaging) to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, develop solutions, and implement repairs promptly.
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve equipment efficiency and safety.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and report on equipment performance.
- Lead or assist in the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new equipment.
- Implement and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all safety regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, including equipment upgrades and process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance within manufacturing, preferably in food, beverage, or supplement production.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, automated machinery, electrical motors, pumps, and conveyor systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety standards is highly desirable.
- Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English, with strong communication skills to interact with multilingual teams.
