TRUST Air Conditioners is a member of the Tavanco Group, established in 2001. We are a wholesale supplier of HVAC and plumbing solutions to major developers across North America. Based in Vancouver, BC, we support large-scale residential and commercial projects with high-efficiency equipment and technical expertise. We have had great success building our remote team with talent from Mexico and are now looking to expand our engineering department further across Mexico and South America.
Role Description
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team. Your primary focus will be the technical review of project blueprints and the preparation of equipment packages for our developer clients. This is a technical role that requires a mix of design, estimating, and market research.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Estimating: Review architectural and mechanical drawings to identify equipment requirements and put together comprehensive quote packages, estimates, and shop drawings.
- Technical Support: Provide guidance to contractors and site teams when technical questions arise regarding equipment installation or specs.
- Market Research: Track industry trends and equipment standards across North America to ensure our offerings stay ahead of the curve.
- Technical Content: Review factory submittals for accuracy and coordinate with our marketing team to ensure all technical documentation is professional and up to code.
- Growth Path: For candidates who show strong multi-tasking skills and a deep understanding of our products, there is an opportunity to transition into a Sales & Business Development role after the first year.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Strong experience reviewing mechanical drawings and equipment schedules. Proficiency in CAD is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in the HVAC or construction industry is a major plus.
- Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken) to coordinate with our North American team and clients.
- Mindset: Ability to handle multiple projects at once and a desire to grow with a fast-moving company.
