Mechanical Engineer Jobs in Remote at Solid Structural Design Ltd.
We are looking for mechanical engineer for HVAC and water pipe design for a hospital project.
We will provide the following professional engineering services:
- Seismic Restraint Design (per Section 20 15 49 – Seismic Controls)
- Detailed seismic analysis and design of restraints for all mechanical systems, including:
- All piping systems (domestic water, plumbing, drainage, hydronic/heating, medical gas, fire protection, refrigerant, etc.)
- All ductwork and ventilation systems (including hazardous exhaust)
- Associated mechanical equipment supports
- Compliance with NBC(AE), CSA S832, SMACNA Seismic Restraint Manual (2nd Edition + Addendum), and good engineering practice.
- Preparation of calculations, bracing schedules, anchorage loads, and details.
- Vibration Isolation Design (per Section 20 15 48)
- Design of vibration isolation measures for equipment and piping as required by the specifications.
- Shop Drawings & Coordination
- Production of coordinated shop drawings showing all supports, hangers, seismic bracing, anchors, and flexible connections for all HVAC and piping systems.
- Coordination with architectural, structural, and other trades.
- Submittals & Reviews
- Mechanical Systems Seismic Engineer’s Qualifications Statement.
- Seismic Hazard Level Review.
- Stamped calculations and drawings for submission.
- Response to consultant and AHJ comments.
- Field reviews during construction (number to be confirmed based on project schedule).
- Closeout documentation, including Assurance of Delegated Design Compliance.
Pay: $57,158.64-$127,488.42 per year
