Position Summary
In this full-time seasonal position as an order processor your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to maintaining the day-to-day operation and administrative duties associated with operation of the scale. Operating the weigh scales, scale computer and software programs, data entry, and record keeping and will also be required to screen and record incoming loads at the scale house, and direct vehicles entering and exiting the facility.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Performs operating sequences to receive and exit vehicles through incoming and outgoing scale.
Assists in checking all components of the weigh scale system to ascertain all are in working order.
Maintains a controlled environment in the scale house to ensure proper operation of the computerized scale system.
Assists in performing key starting instructions on command printer as necessary.
Issues receipts to vehicle drivers and collects tickets.
Enters dips, assisting with volume corrections.
Testing samples, inputting results in JDE and assisting in LOT control.
Answers the phone, records messages, and provides routine information.
Uses computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word documents, outlook calendars, e-mails, and database software in performing work assignments.
May perform incidental tasks, as needed.
Shift Information
You will be required to work rotations between days, evenings, and nights on different work schedules including continental shift, weekends, and be available to work overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
Minimum High School/College Diploma.
Experience with weigh scales is an asset.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Computer literate.
Ability to communicate effectively with drivers and other staff.
Ability to function in a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment.
