Job Summary
The Material Specialist coordinates the planning, purchasing, storage, tracking, and distribution of materials required for manufacturing, construction, logistics, or operational activities. This role works closely with procurement, warehouse, production, and suppliers to maintain efficient inventory levels and support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate material records.
- Coordinate material procurement and replenishment activities.
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments of materials.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules.
- Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Analyze inventory data and identify opportunities to reduce costs and waste.
- Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing teams, and internal departments.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and quality standards.
- Resolve material shortages, discrepancies, and delivery issues.
- Prepare reports on inventory status, material usage, and supply chain performance.
- Utilize inventory management and ERP systems to manage material transactions.
Work Schedule
- Standard Hours: 40 hours per week Monday through Friday.
· Additional Requirement: Overtime and weekend work are necessary on an "as needed" basis.
