Material Handler/Plant Operator Jobs in Calgary at Culligan Water

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting products. This position maintains the production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production, maintaining inventory and setting up the Route Drivers for the next delivery.

Responsibilities:

Maintains inventory by identifying, labelling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, and recording the location of inventory.
Helps customers with water and salt carry-outs
Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
Generates receiving documents and transports materials to storage racks. Reports shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor.
Prepares finished products for shipment, including preparation of documents, labels, staging, loading, and securing products.
Back up for other operations within the plant
Ensures stock and product shipments are neat and undamaged.
Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
Maintain the facility and the facility’s equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area and equipment according to the operating specifications, safety requirements, and housekeeping standards.
Conducts an equipment inspection before and after the use of the equipment and reports any defects to the department supervisor.
Loads and unloads company route trucks in preparation for next-day deliveries.
Loads and unloads material from delivery trucks using a forklift.
Stacks material in the appropriate location on the warehouse floor.
Coordinates incoming and outgoing transport to ensure timely movement of materials.
Provide customer service in person and on the phone, as needed.
Wears personal protective equipment as required.
Adheres to all Company policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for :

High school diploma or GED preferred.
1-2 years of safe forklift driving experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent customer service
Ability to count, measure, and record information accurately.
Strong attention to detail.
Class 5 Drivers License
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Creative and effective problem-solving ability.
Capable of working with minimal supervision.
Positive and cooperative team player.

Physical Demands:

Physically demanding position.
Must be able to continuously lift 50lbs.
Extended periods of time spent lifting, standing, or walking.
